2013 Chardonnay, Isole e Olena, Tuscany
Paolo’s Chardonnay seems to improve every year we taste: possibly because the triumvirate of vintages in which we have bought this unmistakeably Italian Chardonnay, ’11, ’12, and ’13, have each been better than the preceding vintage. This supremely talented winemaker also seems to hone his craft year on year. In 2013 there is fantastic minerality alongside a delightful brioche character, all impeccably balanced.
