2011 Lay & Wheeler Brunello di Montalcino

2011 Lay & Wheeler Brunello di Montalcino

The reigning red wine of Tuscany is Brunello, mostly produced in and around the hilltop town of Montalcino. We travelled to this stunning land of hilltop villages in search of the best Brunello out there, tasting countless wines from the 2011 vintage. One wine stood head and shoulders above the rest. Here’s a special blend created just for us by Val di Suga, from some of their best plots.

This wine is now sold out. Please get in touch with your advisor or one of our team on [email protected] or 01473 313 300 for more information or guidance on an alternative.

Tasting notes

Bright light ruby. Correct Brunello warmth with some evolution and dusty finish. Quite a nice label for this new own label. Long too.
