Ginestra is rightly considered one of the best vineyards in Monforte and – by extension - the whole of the Barolo area. Exotic, with notes of cinnamon and cloves, brown sugar, cherries and cream and a distinctive, smoky, mineral finish. The tannins are broad, but less drying than recent vintages. This is a great wine and tremendous value compared to some of its neighbours.
