Traditional fermentation and ageing for 30 months in large, old Slavonian oak casks (botti), with a further 10 months in bottle, have resulted in an aromatic nose laden with darkly fragrant hedgerow fruit and notes of autumnal bonfires. The palate is wonderfully poised between the chewy tannins, red cherries and savoury earthy notes, rounded out by a refreshingly vibrant vein of acidity on the finish.
