With notes of fruitcake spice on the nose, this is charming and approachable, even at this young age. Fragrantly fruit-led on the palate, this has a lingering and attractive finish. There are robust tannins here, but fine and ripe and well-veiled by a dart of acidity and core of ripe, hedgerow fruit. Finely-tuned, benchmark Brunello. Very good indeed.
