A single vineyard in Lutzmannsburg, this comes from vines that are at their youngest 38 years old, and the oldest are over a century old. It comes from chalk soils, from a slope facing the village, and is very Pinot Noir like on the nose. Very pretty, with red berries, but a bit more depth and ripeness than the 2020 tasted alongside. Lovely acidity on the finish, beautifully saline and savoury, with lots of pepper.
