2015 Pittnauer Pinot Noir, Fuchsenfeld, Austria
2015 was the best vintage in Austria since at least 2011, and perhaps beyond. Pittnauer’s Fuchsenfeld shows this with opulent red fruits that are nevertheless perfectly balanced, and complemented with a smoky minerality. Fine tannins and good concentration suggest this will age gracefully indeed. A superb Pinot Noir, from Austria’s finest.
