2016 Mas de Daumas Gassac, Vin de Pays de l'Hérault

2016 Mas de Daumas Gassac, Vin de Pays de l'Hérault

Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, but with a whole host of supporting grapes ranging from the expected to the totally unexpected, this is surely the Languedoc's greatest wine. The 2016 is impressive, with amazing balance between concentration of flavour and freshness. Unfortunately, yields were way down in 2016 - so this is a wine that needs to be bought on first release.
