2015 Calcaire, Château Les Croisille, Cahors
The nose on the stunning 2015 Calcaire is so beguiling, with spiced plums and wild strawberries, as well as violets and clear minerality. The palate is brilliant: those fruit unfurl, with a lick of spice, and so much energy. It finishes long and clean, with wonderful precision supporting that richness of flavour. Very good indeed. And excellent value.
