Textured and intense, with complex fruit and a smoky complexity, the weight in the mouth is really impressive whilst retaining fantastic freshness. A superb wine to drink over the next few years.

Pierre Martin

Based in the village of Chavignol, a few kilometres up the road from Sancerre itself, Pierre Martin is a talented young winemaker who is making his mark. He shares these steep slopes, including those of his vineyards Culs de Beaujeu and Les Monts Damnés, with celebrated producer François Cotat, and his wines are now reaching this very top level themselves. With only small volumes produced of incredibly impressive wines, Pierre Martin is rightfully fast garnering an excellent reputation.
