This vineyard’s south-east exposure enjoys the warmth of the Colmar micro-climate, and its marl-rich soils are well equipped for hot, dry weather. The only wine Zind-Humbrecht produces from this excellent vineyard is their Gewurz, which is a heady expression of exotic fruit and lively fresh ginger notes, with great persistence and tension running through it. It has superb ageing potential, where the exotic primary notes will unfurl into smoke and spice.
