This is an intense, deep purple. The fruit comes from Chapoutier's oldest vines (60+ years) in Crozes, grown on south-eastern facing granitic soils. Sweet, dark, smoky fruit swirls around the glass in this highly aromatic expression of the Syrah grape. Firm, fresh tannins give the wine poise and structure. Should drink well from early on.
