2015 Hermitage Le Gréal, Marc Sorrel

2015 Hermitage Le Gréal, Marc Sorrel

Tasted from a barrel sample sent to the UK, this was one of the best wines we've tried this year. It's intense and concentrated, with amazing purity of fruit. There's such complexity here: flowers, spice and fruit all jump from the glass in waves. And the finish goes on for minutes, with a silky texture and amazing freshness. For fine wine, this is the benchmark.
