A blend of the two great vineyards: Le Méal and Les Greffieux (hence the name), this year’s Le Gréal is another classy Hermitage at a cool 12.8% alcohol. With a pronounced peppery nose and an abundance of blackberry fruit, this is mouthfilling and seductive initially, but with a roar of fine, grippy tannins. Long and supremely well balanced but only 300 cases produced.
