2007 Vacqueyras, Cuvée Saint Roch, Domaine le Clos des Cazaux

A blend of 75% Grenache and 25% Syrah, the Saint-Roch has always impressed, yet in 2007 it has taken on far greater dimension. Ripe, juicy loganberry fruit is presented on the nose, with a palate that displays a glorious wealth of fruit. Seamless, with sleek, round tannins and stony mineral vein. This is so complete, not the most complex wine, but high on appeal. Long and focused. One of the finest Saint-Roch we can recall. Great value.
