Pure, ripe and intense, with a perfumed aspect of violets. Wonderfully ripe, soft-skinned black fruits, currant and blackberry, coat the palate, with a layered sense of depth. Peppery spicy nuances come to the fore. The purity is striking, the tannins - finely woven and there is a marked vibrancy that offsets the fruit that suggests it was on the cusp of sur-maturité. Very precise, textural and appealing. A great success.
