2012 Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos, Domaine Pinson
The almost undisputed ‘King of the Grand Crus’, Les Clos produces Chablis’ most intense and age-worthy wines, with Pinson’s 2012 being no exception. Tasted from barrel with the wine still on its lees, the harmony and balance of the wine is already apparent, with the explosive fruit flavours being matched equally by its mineral intensity and toasty-rich texture. I expect this could age almost indefinitely.
