The pinnacle of Alain’s production is a single barrel of Chevalier-Montrachet, made on a land-swapping deal with another producer. In 2015 it’s intense, ripe and serious, with excellent concentration of peachy fruit, but no hint of being overblown. An energetic, complex wine.
