Compared to Champs Canet this is much more introverted on the nose, but with swirling comes green apple and gun flint. It’s on the palate where the true potential of this exceptional Premier Cru shows – a densely textured and tightly wound Puligny with superb saline mineral backbone and poise which crackles with energy. Serious and structured, this is close to Grand Cru level in terms of depth and complexity.
