The very name Caillerets indicates that this 1er cru site is situated on a hillside slope with free-draining stony soils. The terroir translates faithfully into a beautifully reigned-in, tautly structured wine with notes of wet stone minerality, a touch of yellow plum and white peach fills out on the finish with an accent of hazelnut.
