2011 Meursault 1er Cru Perrières, Domaine Ballot-Millot

2011 Meursault 1er Cru Perrières, Domaine Ballot-Millot

From 30-60 year old vines, this is the most mineral of the Ballot-Millot wines. The nose is quite closed at the moment, showing subtle hints of crunchy apple and wood smoke. The palate has an immediate sense of freshness, with a mouth-watering vein of acidity that runs throughout the core of floral apple fruit. Very long on the finish, this is a moreish and appealing wine.
