2011 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Le Cailleret, Domaine de Montille
Bright, fresh fruit and notes of struck flint on the nose. The palate is reined-in and precise, with smoky minerals melding with ripe, steel-cut citrus, white peach and a touch of apple blossom. Subtle savoury oak comes through on the finish, rounding out the edges on this appealing and attractive Puligny. Very good indeed.
