2010 Meursault 1er Cru Blagny, Michel Bouzereau

2010 Meursault 1er Cru Blagny, Michel Bouzereau

The highest 1er Cru of the Domaine, 300m above sea level with more argillaceous soil, has produced a wine with a heady yet delicate nose. Freshness is the keyword here, with apple pie and crab-apple notes and a nice touch of smokiness from the 25% new oak used on all Jean-Baptiste's premier crus. The underlying minerality and precise acidity pull all this together to make an excellent wine from the heights of the Côte de Beaune.
