Situated above Lavaut-St-Jacques, a combination of steeply sloping, free draining stony soils coupled with the cooling influence of the nearby Combe results in a wine of wonderful definition and poise. Perfumed with juicy red cherries, the palate yields fleshy strawberries and underlying saline notes with lacy acidity. Wonderful purity and finesse are the hallmarks of Duroché’s wines and Pierre’s 2014s have these qualities in spades.
