2013 Beaune 1er Cru Les Sizies, Domaine de Montille
Beaune Sizies sees no whole bunches this year and only 10% new oak. A prettier and more accessible wine you will find hard to come by, this is a glorious expression of Pinot Noir. The palate shows firm but discreet tannins, juicy red fruit, a pleasing texture and a hint of sandalwood. Always great value, a Lay & Wheeler favourite.
