2011 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Malconsorts, Domaine de Montille
Fragrant and opulent on the nose, with appealing notes of morello cherry and loganberry. The palate opens out to reveal intense, concentrated, almost-inky-dark berry fruit and firm, well-integrated tannins. Taut, toned and effortlessly elegant, this is the less giving of de Montille’s two Malconsorts cuvées at this early stage.
