We fell in love with the wines from the 1er Cru vineyard Les Mitans this year and this wine is one of the reasons why. The nose is dominated by extremely pure raspberry liqueur and the palate has a delicious, juicy quality, making this a very seductive bottle of wine. The tannic structure has been very well managed indeed and only showed itself in the guise of a precise and tight finish. All told, this shows why Mitans in 2011 is, in our mind, the epitome of elegant Burgundy.
