Tasted from barrel, this was a touch closed on the nose, but on the palate fragant fruit notes were awoken, with bright red berry fruit and a pretty, violet freshness. The tannins here are very fine and a vein of minerality lends backbone, giving this a poised refined nature. Pure and simple. Exactly what one wants from a simple Bourgogne.
