2005 Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru Chaignots, Alain Michelot
Chaignots is situated to the north of the town of Nuits, a vineyard of red clay soils strewn with large rocks. Perfumed bramble and wild berry fruit on the nose leading on to the palate where mineral notes are strongly evident. Fine but firm tannins and a beautifully clean finish, this is fresh and almost floral.
