2005 Pommard 1er Cru Les Epenots, Aleth Girardin

2005 Pommard 1er Cru Les Epenots, Aleth Girardin

Aleth Girardin has made a blend from the two vineyards of Grands and Petits Epénots, to create this deep, muscular, but well-proportioned, Pommard. The average age of the vines is in excess of 60 years, giving this wine great complexity and finesse. The palate is fine, broad, savoury and beautifully textured, with concentrated, spiced black fruit flavours. This wine has great volume and depth, but the component parts are in complete harmony.
