2004 Volnay 1er Cru Les Mitans, Domaine de Montille
Like a number of the premier cru Volnay vineyards Les Mitans was affected by hail in 2004 which has reduced the yields to a minute 25hl/ha. Rich, succulent, creamy fruit here, obvious ripeness but still pure and fresh. A round, fleshy volnay with firm grip at the finish and balancing acidity, giving a full, broad palate.
