2008 Château Laville Haut-Brion Blanc, Cru Classé Pessac-Léognan

2008 Château Laville Haut-Brion Blanc, Cru Classé Pessac-Léognan

A blend of 79% Semillon and 21% Sauvignon Blanc. Here the nose is far more exotic and the opulent palate follows through with quince and plum notes. A broad and expansive wine, with good acidity and a long, intense finish. This is a great contrast to the Haut Brion Blanc with the richness far more in evidence, but again a long dry finish. Once again this is an exceptional dry white Bordeaux of astonishing persistence.
