2004 Château d'Arche, Cru Classé Sauternes
The aromas here exude fresh tropical fruit with touches of peach and nectarine. Not as weighty as some, but shows a marked freshness that provides vigour to the palate. As a second growth sauternes this displays impressive elegance and refinement and no lack of substance. The finish shows good persistence of honeyed, fresh fruit. Usually well-valued, this is sauternes for the mid-term.
