The 2020 Nenin is a brilliant Pomerol, from this estate's impressive holdings in this much-loved appellation. It's silky and complex, with blue fruit and lots of mineral complexity. Very long, and very fine.

Château Nenin is a leading Pomerol estate owned by the Delon family - owners of Léoville-Las-Cases, Potensac and Clos du Marquis. They took over in 1997, purchasing Château Nenin from their cousins, the Despujol family who had owned it since 1847, although the planting of the vines is attributed to the Demays in the mid-18th century. The Delons undertook a major renovation to lift the quality of the property - vines were replanted, the cellars and winery completely overhauled and Michel Rolland installed as consultant. There are 32 hectares across the Pomerol plateau, almost in a single plot, bar one small exception, making Nenin one of largest estates in Pomerol.
