The nose on this is surprisingly restrained and elegant, but the fruit character is pure and very fresh, while the palate is silky and fine with just the right extraction of fruit flavours and mouth-coating tannins. The high proportion of Merlot in the blend has ensure that it is fragrant and perfumed Beychevelle. It is impressive for it.
