A blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, Château Gazin was one of the very best at the Pomerol Union des Grands Crus tasting. Fresh red fruits dominate the mid palate, with a firm tannic structure. Classical and serious, it grows on the finish with darker, richer notes bringing an impression of volume and power. A very creditable effort from Gazin.
