This is richly aromatic with creamy blackcurrant complemented with subtle spice and vanilla notes from the oak. The palate is impeccably formed with concentration and density which fills the mouth while retaining an elegance and lightness of touch. Firm yet very fine and ripe tannin constrain the expansive volume. Most impressive of all is the persistence of flavour – the wine seemingly sits on the mid-palate, refusing to move. This is a highly accomplished Mouton-Rothschild.
