2013 Château Haut-Brion, 1er Cru Pessac-Léognan

2013 Château Haut-Brion, 1er Cru Pessac-Léognan

Representing 45% of total production, the grand vin is a result of strict selection, gentle extraction and careful vinification. A shorter than usual maceration with barrel ageing in a lower proportion of new oak (67%) have helped retain freshness and elegance without sacrificing depth and richness. An earlier drinking Haut-Brion that will delight lovers of classic Graves with its cassis and menthol infused nose allied to sweet natured red fruit, mocha and scorched earth, encased in finely detailed structural tannins.
