Made by the team at Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Haut-Batailley is a charming and elegant wine, made with a lovely lightness of touch. Brightly fragrant on the nose, with subtle raspberry characters alongside the more classic cassis and tobacco notes. The palate it is silky-fine in texture, with a crushed slate minerality and bright red currant acidity running alongside very ripe structural tannins. A Pauillac in a more feminine style and utterly beguiling.
