2009 Château Maucaillou, Cru Bourgeois Moulis
This has an inviting nose of almost-crystalline red fruit, with an earthy, almost black truffle like, mineral backdrop. On the palate, this shows great ripeness and harmony at this early stage, as well as a long, refreshing finish. Assured and elegant, an excellent example of how good the 2009 vintage can be.
