Following on from an excellent vintage in 2008, the 2009 is sensational. With notes of black cherry, ink and lavender on the nose, this is a big wine with lots of layers and ripe, chunky tannins. There is a lovely purity to the fruit, some notes of pain grillé toast and a freshening acidity that gives the wine a delightful sense of poise and balance.Robert Parker: 97-100 points (Wine Advocate 188)
