2006 Château Chauvin, Grand Cru Classé St-Emilion
This château has just been bought by Sylvie Cazes who obviously sees great potential. The 2006 is just entering its drinking window with aromas of raspberry, mint and graphite while the tannins are ripe and round, typical of the vintage with a lush Merlot texture. Wonderful value. 90 points, Wine Spectator.
