A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, Barde-Haut displays sweet, ripe cherry fruit on the nose. On the palate the Cabernet Franc provides quite structured tannins, but these are well integrated and balanced by a core of succulent red berry fruit. This is not a hugely complex wine by any means, but a good, approachable and enjoyable style.
