2004 Château Pavie-Macquin, Grand Cru Classé St-Emilion

2004 Château Pavie-Macquin, Grand Cru Classé St-Emilion

Good intensity in the glass and equally deep, bold, soft-skinned, fully-ripe black cherry aromas on the nose. A very welcoming style with plush-textured, gently toasted black cherry and red fruit on the palate. The tannins are fairly soft at first then build in the mouth, while the colour belies a soft, careful extraction. A pure st-émilion with a good sense of luscious expressive fruit and a distinctive mineral quality.
