2002 Château Cheval-Blanc, 1er Grand Cru Classé (A) St-Emilion

2002 Château Cheval-Blanc, 1er Grand Cru Classé (A) St-Emilion

Production levels were tiny here in 2002 with only 3,300 cases of the grand vin being produced. Super-ripe fruit and a floral note of violets dominate the nose whilst the palate is mid-weight with silky, velvet fruit and great ripeness. With elegant rather than blockbusting structure this is a fine wine with a pure, driven finish.
