2001 Château Bahans Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan

2001 Château Bahans Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan

Haut-Brion made a splendid 2001 employing more Merlot than usual. As a consequence Bahans, which accounted for 30% of the crop, is Cabernet-dominant, and will therefore age well. It is a wine of cassis fruit and spice with a deep, earthy core.
