2000 Château Certan Marzelle, Pomerol
Certan Marzelle's vineyards formed part of the Certan-Giraud estate which Christian Moueix bought in the late 1990s. He divided the estate to become Hosanna. The younger vines became Certan Marzelle. It is planted with 100% Merlot which is immediately apparent with its opulent, plummy and chocolate scent. Open, ultra-pure, sensuous flavours are natural and refined and have the support of structure and substance. Well composed and highly recommended.
