One of the oldest winemakers in the Barossa Valley, Yalumba’s motto is ‘embracing the magnificent unknown’. Much like the early pioneers of viticulture in this part of south Australia, Yalumba lets nature take its course and human hands interfere as little as possible as the vines bear fruit.

Founded by Samuel Smith in 1849, Yalumba is still in the hands of the Hill-Smith family, specialising in blended reds like Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, known as ‘Australian Clarets’. Aged in bespoke oak barrels – Yalumba is the only vineyard in the Southern Hemisphere with its own Cooperage – their wines have a unique flavour, complexity and aroma. From its premium blends The Signature and The Caley to the Octavius Shiraz, Chardonnays and the Yalumba Viognier, the Yalumba collection is supremely rich and varied – testament to the experience and passion of over 170 years of independent winemaking.
