From a new winery in the hamlet of Blagny in the hills that overlook Meursault and Puligny, owner Laurent crafts wines that balance an inherent richness with the grippy minerality for which the wines of this area are so well known. Laurent is also the rightfully proud owner of what must be the Côte d’Or’s largest spittoon. Often overlooked in the UK, overseas merchants snap up his wines, most notably the American importer and connoisseur Kermit Lynch.
With a history back to 1834, the domaine has a reputation for wines that balance intensity with the racy minerality so characteristic of the cooler climate experienced higher up the hillside of Blagny
