2019 Seña, Chadwick, Aconcagua Valley, Chile Dry | Red | Still | 15%

The 2019 Seña is a vibrant, ripe, yet incredibly refined red from this iconic estate. A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Malbec, 15% Carmenère, and 4% Petit Verdot, it shows refinement of tannins, poise, and a long and stony finish. There’s tons of energy here, and a slightly smoky finish. This is quintessentially Chilean, but with real poise.

2018 Le Dix de Los Vascos, Domaines Barons de Rothschild Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

The top Chilean wine for Domaines de Baron Rothschild, made from 70 year old vines. Full of bright, rich new world fruit character but with the structure and savoury hints of Bordeaux.

Ready: 2022 - 2032
2012 Don Melchor Cabernet Sauvignon, Concha y Toro, Puente Alto Vineyard, Maipo Valley, Chile Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

"Wonderful aromas of black olives, meat and currants. Hints of fresh mint. Full to medium body, with sublime tannin texture that feels like the finest silk. A finish that lasts for minutes. Palate has amazing energy of richness and freshness. A great wine. So layered and balanced." 98 points, James Suckling, jamessuckling.com

2015 Le Petit Clos, Clos Apalta, Casa Lapostolle Dry | Red | Still | 15%

The Petit Clos is the second wine of Clos Apalta, but undergoes the same precise winemaking as the Grand Vin, with a little less new oak, making it a more approachable but no-less-delicious example from Chile's Colchagua valley. 40% Cabernet gives this excellent structure, with a silky texture and impressive depth of flavour. It's a wine that far outperforms its price point.

Ready: 2019 - 2028
2005 Seña, Chadwick, Aconcagua Valley, Chile Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

Deep in the glass, the nose exudes sumptuous black fruit and sweet cassis, allied to more herbal nuances. On the palate, cassis fruit leads the way, with notes of blackcurrant leaf, herbs, spice and cocoa. There is a cool-climate sense of precision, with fine tannins providing a gentle grip. Juicy, layered with an enlivening note of acidity revealed towards a long-drawn finish.

2010 Seña, Chadwick, Aconcagua Valley, Chile Dry | Red | Still | 14%

Fragrant with fresh berry fruit and a hint of subtle florality on the nose, the palate has layers of darker fruit. Blackberry and blueberry notes meld with complex notes of cedarwood, store cupboard spice and pipe smoke. The tannins are incredibly fine and very ripe, integrating beautifully with the rich core of fruit. The cooler climate of the vineyard is however expressed in a lovely vein of freshness that runs throughout, lifting the wine and carrying through to the finish.

Ready: 2016 - 2025
2013 Seña, Chadwick, Aconcagua Valley, Chile Dry | Red | Still | 14%

"Superb aromas of black currants, rose petal and mint. Lavender and stones too. Full body with incredible fruit density. Complex, yet it's agile and bright. Tannins are perfectly polished. It builds on the palate and shows the structure of a first growth Bordeaux but remains so Chilean. A blend of 58% cabernet sauvignon, 15% carmenere, 12% malbec, 10% merlot, and 5% petit verdot. From biodynamically grown grapes. This is a joy to taste now but it will show itself in 2019. Even better than the amazing 2012."

2021 Pinot Noir Las Pizarras, Errazuriz, Aconcagua Dry | Red | Still | 13.5%

Undoubtedly one of the finest Pinots ever to be produced in Chile, the cool conditions in 2021 have left Las Pizarras fresh and pure with wild strawberry and red cherry fruit. There’s lots of mineral, chalky complexity here around the juicy core of fruit.

2019 Don Melchor Cabernet Sauvignon, Concha y Toro, Puente Alto Vineyard, Maipo Valley, Chile Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

Don Melchor, from stony soils in the Maipo valley, is among the new world’s highest-rated Cabernet Sauvignon, with the capacity to cellar for decades. Brimming with fresh red fruits and brambly, herbal, and vanilla complexity, this is truly one of Chile’s finest wines.
